The Vegetable Nannies is an intimate, interactive, walkabout performance piece featuring two proud gardeners who've dug up their prized baby vegetables to take them out for a day trip. After all, who wants to spend all day stuck in the ground staring at the sky? So, if you see an old pram brimming with some beautiful babies, come over and say hello as there's no doubt the Vegetable Nannies could use a hand with feeding and changing nappies. Characters include Jessica, the award winning Sweet-Potato beauty queen, Roger the Leek, who aspires to be famous Magician and many more.

In 2009 Ben Faulks pitched the concept of the Vegetable Nannies to the BBC. It was commissioned and went on to become the award winning CBeebies Television series, Mr Bloom's Nursery.
